Our most frequently asked questions:
Why do some stylists charge more? What do different "levels" mean?
Our stylist's prices are based on their experience in the industry as well as their continued education, but most importantly, the demand on their time behind the chair. As our artists become fully booked, we must charge accordingly so that their compensation meets the demand on their bookable hours. A stylist right out of our Associate Program will begin as a Level One, with prices that reflect their industry experience and continued education. The Avenue requires continued education every year, so as the stylist grows more demand on their time, they will be promoted to a higher level.
What is the difference between a "haircut" and a "trim"?
There is no difference. A cut that takes off 4 inches and a cut that takes off 1/4 of an inch requires the same skill set for either service. Sometimes we will do a dry cut before or after a color service so that we can see each individual's growth patterns or needs, but that is a skill that is performed by an individual with the appropriate training to make sure every cut experience is tailored to your needs.
Will my service cost more if my hair is long and thick?
Unfortunately, the answer may be yes. Our service prices are based on the AVERAGE usage of lightener, color, conditioning agents used, etc. If you require more product to be used, we do have to charge accordingly. The great news is our team will always go over your Beauty Budget before beginning your services so that you can find the best plan to achieve the hair of your dreams.
What if I am late to my appointment?
We totally get it, and we will always do our best to make it work! In the event you are more than 15 minutes late, we may have to ask you to give up some of your services, such as blow dry and style or the leg massage on your pedicure. If our staff can not accommodate you for any reason, we will be happy to reschedule you!
What if I'm unhappy with a product I purchased?
No worries! Please bring the product back within two weeks of purchase and we will happily exchange it for something new that you will love. The only things we cannot exchange are makeup, hot tools, or customized skin care.
What If I'm unhappy with the service I had done?
In lieu of monetary refunds, we offer corrections that may need to be made to make your visit satisfactory.
We understand sometimes expectations may not be met, despite our best efforts. If you find yourself unhappy with your hair color, or hair texture service, please notify us as soon as possible so that we may correct the issue within the first two weeks of the service being performed. If you find yourself unhappy with a haircut service, again, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can correct the issue within one week of the service being performed.
If you are unhappy with your spa service, please notify us as soon as possible. Regular nail polish can be reapplied within 3 days if any chipping occurs, and gel polish can be removed and reapplied within 5 days if any chipping or bubbling occurs. If a massage, facial, body treatment, or waxing service did not meet your expectations, notify us within one week of the time of service, and we will find the necessary course of action to rectify the issue.
